Enrolment Terms & Disclaimer

Although care is taken in all dance tuition, dancing is a strenuous physical activity and students or their responsible parent or guardian must assess the capability of a student to participate. As with any physical activity, injury may occur.

 

Attendance at classes, concerts, exams or any activity of or associated with the school is undertaken solely at the risk of the student or participant and their responsible parent or guardian (if a minor). Students are advised not to leave valuables unsupervised.

 

The School does not accept responsibility nor any liability for any injury, loss or damage suffered or incurred by any student, to: their person; or their property; or by any other person to themselves or their property. In this disclaimer of liability ‘School’ means Grange Dance and its proprietor Louise Nicholls. This disclaimer applies for the benefit of the School and each permanent or casual teacher or tutor employed or engaged by or providing contract services to the School and all administrators and volunteers of or to the School and applies in respect of all activities of and associated with the School including activities outside the School premises.

 

Each student, participant and their responsible parent or guardian agrees to this disclaimer by their attendance at class or other activity of the School. This disclaimer continues to operate unless expressly waived or varied in writing by the School proprietor. To the extent, for any reason, this disclaimer is not effective to exclude total liability, then the maximum liability of the persons benefitting from this disclaimer is limited to $10.

 

**Photo Release** Each student, participant and their responsible parent or guardian: (a) agrees to the unrestricted use by the School of photos of students and concert participants whether or not taken by or on behalf of the School. Photos may be used and displayed on the School’s website, on School pamphlets and brochures and within the School premises; (b) grants an unconditional and unrestricted release in favour of the School in respect of each photo used as contemplated in paragraph (a); (c) agrees to the use by the School of the photos for no fee, cost, royalty or charge.

 

Each student, participant and their responsible parent or guardian gives their respective agreement and release in the terms set out above by their attendance at class or other activity of the School or by enrolling at the School and in consideration of the School accepting the student or participant at the School or concert. This agreement and release continues to operate unless expressly waived or varied in writing by the School proprietor.
